Surface preparation of concrete floors using steel shots blasting removes surface laitance grease, oils, coatings, dust, curing compounds and other contaminants. Shot blasting achieves a surface profile that is equal to CSP 3 - 6 in accordance with ICRI Guideline 310.2. Using shot blasting as a method of surface preparation is crucial in prior to installation of trowel applied resinous floor coatings, self leveling cement layments and other high build special floor coatings.
